Welcome to the world of Skandinavien – my debut horror audiobook. I’m Albion Byrd, a storyteller with a deep love for the power of audio and its ability to transport listeners into new worlds. Inspired by classics like War of the Worlds, The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, and The Ghost Train, I’ve always believed that a great story, combined with the right sound, can ignite the imagination in a way nothing else can.
With Skandinavien, I wanted to create something more than just a typical horror experience. Forget jump scares. This is a journey into the eerie, the mysterious, and the unnerving, where complex characters and rich, atmospheric soundscapes take the focus. I aimed to craft an immersive world where listeners can get lost, feeling the tension and intrigue building with every moment, all while giving them the space to imagine and explore on their own.
Music has always been at the core of my creativity, and with this project, I’ve woven together haunting melodies, environmental sound effects, and rich vocal performances to create a unique and immersive auditory experience. Each element is designed to pull you deeper into the story, letting you experience the terror, the mystery, and the thrill in a way that feels personal and alive.
